Today I took an old friend to Texel. Someone who’s dropped countless parachutes in countless places, but does not fly anymore.

It was a wonderful flight. Great visibility and beautiful scenery. As it was about 4 PM, the turbulence wasn’t too bad either. We left the Rotterdam CTR to the north to then fly along the shore until after IJmuiden. We then crossed the land towards Hoorn and Medemblik.

On the way back, we followed the Markerwaarddijk to Flevoland, flying at 1000 ft to avoid traffic flying the EHLE Mike arrival route. Passing by the familiar sights of Loosdrechtse Plassen, we flew south towards our very own point Mike, from which we flew back and landed on runway 24.
