Today I flew my exam flight. I was to prepare an international flight from Hilversum to Münster-Osnabrück airport (the nav part, that is) and fly a few waypoints.

Right before reaching the Deelen CTR I was given a diversion to calculate. Destination: Seppe. My poor protractor wasn’t long enough to cover the distance between where we were and Seppe airfield, but a little estimate got me a long way.

Then, it was time for some slow flight, an approach to stall, some steep turns, one-and-a-half emergency landing, and finally some landings back at the airfield, to show that I could land the aircraft in different configurations.

Passed it! I am not one to jump around and yell but I cannot say anything else than that I am ecstatic to be a pilot now, and I look forward to all my future flights!
